The 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) cycle is moving into its most critical phase. With the national university cut-off mark set at 150 and the minimum age requirement pegged at 16 years, institutions are working under strict timelines to conclude the 2026/2027 admission process.
JAMB has established strict deadlines for all tertiary institutions to wrap up their admissions. Universities have until October 31, 2026, to finalize their lists. Polytechnics must conclude by November 30, 2026, while Colleges of Education have until December 31, 2026, to complete the cycle.
This year's examination also recorded exceptional academic performances. Owoeye Daniella Jesudunsin emerged as the overall top-scoring candidate nationwide, securing an impressive score of 372 out of 400. Candidates are advised to monitor the Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS) regularly as institutions begin compiling their merit lists.
